Hürriyet writes that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will host presidents and representatives from many countries at presidential dinner on Friday in Atatürk’s historical yacht, Savarona. The daily says that Savarona will take a tour at the Dardanelles during the dinner, and occupancy in hotels in the area reached 100 percent between April 24 and 26.
Vatan writes that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan gave a strong response to European countries for their decision to allow sinking of ships used by human traffickers. The daily quotes Erdoğan as having said that this decision will be a disaster and it is not a humane approach. He said further that Turkey hosts 2 million immigrants, and he condemns such a move by the European countries.
Yeni Şafak quotes Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott as having said at joint press conference held with Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu that many countries in the world admire Turkey’s remarkable success in the last 10 years, adding that Turkey worked an economic miracle in a very short time.
Star writes that world children came to İstanbul for the 6th Peace Bread Festival. The daily says that 120 children met with Governor of İstanbul Vasip Şahin and President Erdoğan's son Bilal Erdoğan and the children offered peace bread to members of the protocol. Citing the solidarity displayed by world children, Şahin said that this fellowship will be stronger in the future.
Sabah writes that Turkish students won top prizes in many international competitions. Turkish students from Mektebim College became world champions with their film advocating equality at GEF Global Education Festival held in Italy. The daily says that 53 films from 20 countries competed at the festival. According to the daily, one student from Eyüboğlu College came in second in "Best Sales and Marketing" category by leaving behind 50 student companies at the International Student Company Festival held in Latvia.
Haber Türk writes that Roger Federer known as "Your Majesty" in the tennis world will come to İstanbul for the first time to participate in TEB BNP Paribas İstanbul Open tournament. According to the daily, tickets for the tournament that will be held through April 27 - May 3 sold out in a short time.
